Quissett Harbor

Quissett Harbor is regarded by Sippewissett boat owners as “The Port of Sippewissett.” It is the major anchorage within our bailiwick. Aspects of harbor management are addressed by the Quissett Association, the Quissett Harbor Preservation Trust, Quissett Harbor House, and Salt Pond Bird Sanctuaries, among others. Access to and maintenance of Quissett Knob, a spectacular coastal site, is provided for by these private organizations. Given their effective management of Quissett Harbor, we see our role as supporting these organizations, as appropriate.
