Restored access to Beebe Woods is vital for continuing passive recreation, wildfire hazard mitigation, and search and rescue operations. Our effort, led by Board members Jeffrey Lunn and Bob Skilton, involves creation of a three-tiered coalition of stakeholders: private homeowners, private institutions, and relevant government bodies.

Restoring access to Beebe Woods is vital for wildfire hazard mitigation and search and rescue operations, as well as continuing passive recreation. Our efforts involve working with Falmouth’s Conservation Commission and other public and private stakeholders to ensure the historic carriage trails are cleared of fallen trees and new tree growth.

In March 2026, Jeff and Bob organized a team of 25 volunteers from Team Rubicon to begin Phase 1 work to clear the historic carriage trails of fallen trees and new tree growth.
